One of the better words in the English language, don’t you think?

Len’s Baby

This week has been kicking my butt, thus the lack of posting. Maybe next week will be a more normal pace of very busy?

Anyway. This is Len’s old truck. It’s the only new vehicle he has ever bought and he loved and depended on it quite a lot. Eventually it developed a problem he couldn’t wrap his head around (and I am quite unclear as to what that problem was) and didn’t want to take it to a mechanic to fix, especially since it was getting on in years and (very hard) miles. So he bought a new truck and parked this one in a secluded spot in the side yard to let the mice have a home. Eventually the newer truck developed a problem he couldn’t quite fix, this time he found a mechanic he trusted who traded labor for the old truck. These were taken on it’s last day in our yard. Len was very sad to see it go (as were the mice, I think).

His friend, Dave, made this decal for him. For some reason Len's fundamentalist uncle disliked my Darwin sticker more than this. Dave passed away a few years ago.

Park Building

I posted a couple of pictures of this building already, but I think this format works better than the square format.

Portraits

Last week kind of got away from me. I expect I won’t have much of a hold on this one either, but I will try.

Emily’s photo took a lot of cleaning up, it was very dusty. I really need a better way to dry the negatives so they aren’t so embedded with crap. Anyway, can you tell these two are related? They all have the same beautiful eyes.

Watering Can

The most photogenic watering can in, well, Grass Lake anyway.

Sign

I really can’t decide between the two of these, and actually kind of like them together.
