Pots

Last spring I took some photos at an old greenhouse across the street from us. It was much too dark to get pictures of the clay pots, and to be honest, it was still too dark (note the not exactly sharp focus). I need to go back with a tripod.

Dead Flowers

And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flower by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I won’t forget to put roses on your grave

Cube

cube

This was supposed to be another Election Day photo — I was trying to get a picture of the chalk writing on the ground, but I needed a wider angle lens and wound up with another picture of the cube, which I like well enough.

Garage

I went to develop my film and discovered the Kodak D76 developer I had been using had gone well past its expiration date. You know how you can tell? A normally clear liquid becomes the color of very strong coffee. I still have some Rodinol, but I think it does not combine very well with the Kodak TMax 400 film I was using. Then again, my skills may have deteriorated a bit as well. In any case, I have photos, but a trip to the camera store in Dexter is in order.

Manhole Cover

I developed and scanned film, the memory do-hicky is in my purse waiting to be plugged in and worked on. This is going to be a busy day, but I hope to have at one to post later. In the meantime this was the photo I was going to post yesterday.

Sprinkles

So I did not manage to develop film last night — making dinner and watching Walking Dead does not leave a lot of time (I know what you’re thinking, and yes Walking Dead is more important. Obviously.) So more digital photos it is, at least this time they are not super lame, they are in the time honored tradition of food photography (and also pretty).

Already lame

Seriously. I just took pictures of a wool ladybug.

{sound of head hitting desk}
I will develop film tonight.
