Day 265. Purple Blue Weedy Flower Thing.

I don’t know what this is, most of the time it’s kind of ugly and I suspect it might be an invasive nasty thing, but when it blooms, it’s really pretty so I’m loathe to get rid of it.

Day 264. Two Thousand and Ten is the Time.

This used to be a bank. Now it is a hole. The rumor is that it will be a high rise. I sort of prefer the hole.

Day 262. Bonus Holga.

Which I developed myself, thankyouverymuch. More on my Flickr page.

Developing chemicals smell like my dad, in a really comforting way.

Day 261. First Developed Film.

Who would develop their own film in the age of instant gratification digital? I would (actually, plenty of people would). It’s kind like baking: you have to be reasonably precise in measurement and temperature, and you don’t really know until the end of the process whether you got it right. I mostly got it right: I didn’t wind the second roll quite right which mucked up a frame, but otherwise the developing went well. The actual picture taking? Many of them were very underexposed, only about half worked out. I do better with color, for some reason.

Day 260. Holga Friday.

I can’t help it. This picture is so WEIRD I can’t help but love it (and my brother thought I was on drugs last week!) Ha!

Day 259. Train Can’t Bring Me Home*.

My brother and I played here a lot when we were kids.

Day 258. Salt & Pepper.

I really don’t know what to say about these. My friend, S, saw them at a yard sale and for 25 cents I felt they were irresistible in a very weird way.
