Day 207. Turkey Feathers.

Lizzy had a little run in with a wild turkey on Saturday. It was a draw, but we got some souvenirs.

Day 206. Holga Friday.

I love this stupid little camera: the pictures are so weird and you never know what you’ll get.

Day 205. Library Stairs.

Eh. I had a much better composition of these stairs, but it was completely out of focus. I’ll try that one again when the students are gone.

Day 203. Daffodil.

This is a rare case: this is the first picture I took yesterday. I’m usually trying a bunch of different stuff and the first picture is usually terrible. I’ll put more over at Flickr, since there are a few that I like a lot.

Bonus Mosaic!

Chopping Wood

No, we did not put the ax in the hands of the three year old.

Day 202. Last of the Forsythia.

This isn’t as crisp as I would like, but at this size it’s probably ok. This is from yesterday’s set of 88 (!) pictures: after the day I’ve had, I really don’t want to try for something when I get home (I love my job, but some days…)

Day 201. Maddie and Max.

Len’s sister, brother-in-law, their kids Max and Madelyn and nephew Connor came to visit on Sunday. As usual, I ran around with a camera in my hand (because I can’t help myself). I’ll be doing more with the 88 (!) pictures I took (wood chopping! twirling children! happy happy dog!), but this one stopped me in my tracks. I was trying to imitate a picture my dad took of me and my brother Ken and this one has a somewhat similar idea (close up of one kid, other blurred in the background). I wish the branches weren’t in the way of Max’s face, but I love this otherwise.
