Day Seventy Nine. Construction Crew.

This was kind of lucky. I couldn’t park where I had planned, so I ended up walking this way later than I would have been. I was struck first by how the cranes were set up and then noticed the crew out on the deck. Happiness is getting your picture of the day at 8:00 in the morning and not having to work at it.

Day Seventy Eight. Celebrate Remember.

Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back. Go Blue. I don’t know what this means. The blobs on the middle posts seem to be some sort of anti-abortion message, but I don’t know if they are related.

Day Seventy Seven. The Dog Ate My Knitting.

Day Seventy Six. Red.

I know I’m patting myself on the back, but I have to say, I love this picture. I did a touch of cropping because I couldn’t quite get the framing how I wanted it in camera, and I upped the contrast. I like the vertical and horizontal lines, the reds and the textures. There is an unfortunate fisheye distortion, most noticeably at the top. I think this is because I’m using a glorified point and shoot rather than a dSLR with appropriate lens and I was only about 3 feet away.

Day Seventy Five. Vintage Glass Ornament.

Another old ornament, this time from my mother’s side of the family.

Day Seventy Four. Vintage Christmas.

I believe this is the ornament my Great Aunt Jeannette gave me for my first Christmas. There was a baby ring in it, which I still have.

Day Seventy Two. Len Gets His Jingle On.

Day Seventy One. Jingle Bells.

We get our Christmas trees from a guy out near Chelsea. He hands out those glasses that make halos around lights. This year I was amused to discover that when I turned them, the halo went from bells to the word “Jingle”. Get it?
