Day Eighteen. Brussels Sprouts.

My dad, who did the cooking, hates Brussels Sprouts so we never had them when I was a kid. I love them. He also hates cooked spinach but loves it raw, I’m the opposite. Go figure.

Day Seventeen. Continental.

Edited to add: Len thinks this is from 1962 or 1963.

This was kind of lucky, I almost didn’t have a picture for Saturday either. This lovely old boat is parked outside of my sister’s apartment. To me, it marks the transition from the automobile’s heyday of design (pre-1973) to it’s low point in the 1980’s. Len will know the year, but my guess is 1975ish?

Day Sixteen. Cheating.

I don’t remember why, but I didn’t actually take a picture on Friday. This is from Thursday. I had taken the shoe picture, which was the picture I had intended for that day, then I got home and saw this leaf lying picturesquely on our porch. So I took that picture, too.

Day Fourteen. Stairs.

I love the shape of staircases, especially when they are on the outside of a building.

Day Thirteen. Orange Barrels

Ann Arbor is buried in orange barrels, which makes navigating the town rather difficult. I like this better in the large size, more detail shows up.

Day Twelve. I shouldn’t love this picture

But I do.

You know what is in focus in this picture? The dirt on my lens. But I can’t help it, the lack of focus looks deliberate, soft and romantic. Like me!

Stop laughing.
