Day 237. More Dame’s Rocket.

I know Dame’s Rocket is an invasive, non-native plant, but I think it is so pretty. It hasn’t taken over my yard, so I am ok with letting what we have stay.

Day 234. The Dairy Queen.

Len and I went to the Dairy Queen on Saturday. While were eating directly across from the really cool, old fashioned structure I was thinking it would be nice to get a shot of it. My intention was that there not be any people in the shot, just the building, then a post-game baseball team showed up (The Aggies, for what it’s worth). I mean come on. This couldn’t be more American if there was a flag waving in the breeze. I’m really proud of this shot.

Day 233. Holga Friday!

Technical difficulties have been fixed and the Holga is back! I know, I’m excited, too. Here is Len rolling a cigarette. More at Flickr, of course.

Day 232. White Market.

Way back on Day 63 I posted a picture of this same location and promised a re-do. Here it is. I like this framing a lot better, although now the tree is in the way of the sign.

Day 231. Mural.

This mural has been around since 1984 (I actually thought it was older than that). The authors are: Woody Allen, Edgar Allen Poe, Herman Hesse, Franz Kafka and Anaïs Nin. It seems so reminiscent of Ann Arbor’s kind of grungy, over-intellectual past, I’m both glad and a little surprised it’s still there.

Day 230. Table Leg.

This is another one of those pictures I took on my way inside after having taken a bunch of other pictures (it is, in fact, the very last picture on my camera). I converted it to black & white, then couldn’t decide which I liked better (the color version is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lee-jeannette/4621394121/). I think I’ve decided on the b&w because the background in the color seems a touch distracting.
